Buy-to-let property owners in Dorset 'could benefit from Olympics'

People with property to rent in Dorset may make more money
during the Olympic Games, which are due to be held in London in
2012.
According to a spokesman for Blue Chip Vacations, self-catering
residences could draw in three times as much income over this
period as they will during the same time this year, the Dorset Echo
reports.
He remarked: "There are a significant number of high-quality,
long-let properties that could transfer to self-catering and seize
a golden opportunity."
The representative went on to claim that it is not simply a "flash
in the pan" opportunity, but rather one that will result in
long-term gains for the sector.
Return bookings will be achieved, he suggested, further boosting
the income potential of homes in the area.
However, those keen to make the most of the chance should ensure
they provide quality offerings, he noted.
A considerable number of visitors are expected for the Olympics and
organisers are to sell over nine million tickets.
