'Creativity seen' by homeowners

People buying homes are now indulging in a greater amount of
creativity when getting the most from space in their homes,
according to Strutt & Parker Lane Fox.
The consultants said that a number of areas in homes are now
utilised by people such as basements, because space is "sought
after".
Consumers are now trying their hardest to transform every inch of
space in the bid to open up more living room, a partner at the
body, Lulu Egerton, remarked.
She commented: "From skis to bicycles to linen cupboards we all
need as much storage as possible hence the popularity of storage
solution companies, such as The Basement Company."
Under-floor vaults are another way in which people are attempting
to get the most out of their dwellings', she added, while
under-pavement cellars are also popular.
A recent Building for Life newsletter noted that the biggest
complaint from residents when they arrive in their new homes is
that there is not enough room.
